Labsistant is a dedicated inventory management system, not a LIMS and not an ELN. We do track samples on the Lab plan, including what each one was derived from and how many times it has been frozen and thawed. What we don't do is route those samples through a workflow engine or replace your lab notebook. We focus on knowing what your lab has, where it is, and when you need more. That focus is why the product works well at the one thing it does.

Yes. Point Labsistant at the spreadsheet you already keep. It asks whether the file holds reagents, supplies or samples, matches the columns for you, works out your freezers and shelves and merges the ones that are the same place written two ways, then shows you every row exactly as it was understood. Nothing is created until you approve it. AI column matching is optional and the flow works without it. You can also start from an empty lab and build it up as you go.
